Daniel E. Sloppy, CPA/ABV, CFF, CVA, CFE, MBA is a Principal and Director of Valuation Services with Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh & Company. Dan graduated magna cum laude from Edinboro University in 1988. He continued his education and earned an MBA from Penn State’s Behrend College in 1994. Dan joined the accounting firm of Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh & Co. in 1996. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. During his early years with Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh and Company, he concentrated on tax compliance and consulting matters. In the late 1990’s he shifted his focus to concentrate on business valuation and litigation support services. He became a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) in 1999; and in 2007, an Accredited Business Valuation Specialist (ABV) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). In 2008, he obtained the credential of Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
